Annie Leibovitz is not only a renowned portrait photographer of musicians, politicians and actors, but she’s also shot the entire Journeys campaign for Louis Vuitton. In 2010, the company decided to turn the camera on her. She, in turn, insisted on having a friend accompany her—the charming and exquisite Mikhail Baryshnikov
To give the site an air of intimacy befitting these two lifelong friends, and also leverage the photography angle, we created an experience that mimicked a camera’s functionality: the conversation started at a panoramic view. The closer you “zoomed in”, the tighter the angle and the more personal the conversation.
